Congratulations to Greg Gibson and Maggie Brown for winning the Project ENGAGES Student Mentor Award and Faculty Award for 2021-2022.

This award gives access to $2000 to support high school student activities in the future.  Sini Nagpal and Erin Connolly were highly commended for their mentoring of High School students under the supervision of Dr. Gibson in conducting research as part of the Gibson Lab.  

Project ENGAGES (Engaging New Generations at Georgia Tech through Engineering & Science) is a high school science education program developed at Georgia Tech in partnership with Coretta Scott King Young Women’s Leadership Academy, B.E.S.T Academy, South Atlanta High School, Benjamin E. Mays High School, D.M. Therrell High School, Booker T. Washington High School, and Charles R. Drew Charter School, seven minority-serving public high schools in the City of Atlanta.
